Right! This time around I'm going to do a better job of sticking with it, and I won't rest until there are more people than just me and Punky Munky! Every week, someone chooses a song that we all have a week to learn. When the week is up, everyone records their effort and uploads it to some webspace and posts the url. You can play as much or as little of the song as you want, the emphasis is on learning licks you don't already know, or you wouldn't usually play.

See, I'm all for the idea but I have absolutely no means to record or upload anything so straight away I am out of the picture.

Yup! After PM discussion with IceBus I realised how computer illiterate I actually am
I can record no problem. Everything I do will be on acoustic though which could be amusing

Hehehehe it'll still be a good laugh... When it's your turn you can choose acoustic stuff and us 'leccy people can play it clean.

Well thinking about it it could be interesting. If the song being learned is particularly heavy/distorted I can always mess around and see if I can make my own interpretation of it I suppose - as long as it actually sounds like it.

Sure thing... Interpretation is fine as long is it keeps the feel of the song to a certain degree

Ben (Punky Munky) will be up for it as he was a founding father of the last one. I'm pimping on some music boards now...

It could work! It would be strange but it could work. You could learn lead parts.
