Any Word 2000 gurus?

Anyone know how to stop Word doing any autoformatting whatsoever, and leabing tabs and indents exactly where they are?

No idea. It really pisses me off when it does that. I spent 3 hours trying to sort out words auto-bloody-format in a tender document last week and eventually gave up.

Yeah, I tried that and stuff started spewing out of the printer.

You turned off all the AutoFormat options? In XP, it's Tools > AutoCorrect > AutoFormat > [decheck all] & AutoCorrect > AutoFormat As You Type > [decheck all].

That's my personal approach mate. However when I am(reluctantly) trying to help a neurotic playwrite who throws a wobbly if one of the 4000 files on their desktop is moved slightly, or when I am unable to recreate their heavily personalised toolbars precisely as they were after they have screwed them up. Introducing a new program is out of the question.

I tried unchecking all the ones that sounded vaguely relevant, but was reluctant to uncheck them all. Worth trying though, ta.
