Why WEP is dead

Post by Kajun »

Zathras has spurred me on to reading more about the obvious hackability of WEP networks, and Security Focus have recently added to their article on hacking WEP protected wifi networks. An essential read if you run a wireless network (also see part 1)

Heh, when people leave 4mbps connections unsecured, why bother hacking WEP? Been off the net for 6 weeks, fire up computer to use shitty dialup to order bulldog for my new flat and lo, hundreds of wireless networks, including this unsecured one. I think I'll save my £30/month :)
